GODSENT have defeated Virtus.pro in the semi-finals of the StarSeries i-League Season 5 Europe qualifier, securing a spot at the $300,000 tournament.
GODSENT made their way to the playoffs bracket via the first phase of the qualifier, beating Kinguin and Singularity to clinch first place in Group B, before they matched up against one of the directly invited teams, Imperial.
After losing the first map, Mirage, the Swedes grabbed a hard-fought victory on Cobblestone and Inferno, making their way to the deciding semi-finals. There, they easily dispatched of Virtus.pro with 16-5 and 16-4 scorelines on Inferno and Train, respectively, to secure their place at StarSeries.
The $300,000 tournament will be the GODSENT's first appearance at a big event in 2018, as they've so far attended tournaments with mostly lower-tier competition, most recently winning the Qi Invitational in Belgrade.
GODSENT will join the following teams in Kiev, Ukraine, on May 28-June 3:

The second team coming from the European qualifier will be determined on May 7, as AGO will face North in the second semi-final at 17:00 .
